Michael Trythall, AuD, F-AAA

Michael Trythall, AuD, joined Union Square Hearing, Inc. several years ago, specializing in pediatrics and amplification. A Texas native, Dr. Trythall was awarded his B.A. from Baylor University and his M.S. in Audiology from San Francisco State University. His Doctor of Audiology degree was conferred by the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2006.

Prior to joining USH, Dr. Trythall practiced at Kaiser Permanente Hospital, San Francisco providing evaluation and amplification for adults and children including newborn hearing screenings. He helped establish the hospital protocols for pediatric behavioral testing and amplification. His clinical experience includes intensive work with adult and pediatric amplification patients.

Dr. Trythall also represented a major hearing aid manufacturer as a Pediatric Specialist, which included training and educating pediatric audiologists throughout the western states on various hearing devices and software technologies. Dr. Trythall professes a sincere passion for pediatric audiology – especially providing patient/family support.

Dr. Trythall is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, a certified member of the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association, the California Academy of Audiology, the California Hearing Aid Dispensers Bureau and of the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board.

Anga Lao, AuD, F-AAA

Dr. Lao is a clinical audiologist at San Francisco Otolaryngology and Union Square Hearing, Inc. She provides a broad range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services related to hearing loss in children and adults, including hearing evaluation, fitting of hearing aids and assistive listening devices, aural rehabilitation and electrophysiologic testing. She also performs evaluation and treatment for patients with balance and vestibular disorders.

Dr. Lao completed her training at the University of California, San Francisco Audiology Clinic in June 2009. She was awarded her Doctorate of Audiology and Master of Arts in Audiology from the University of Pittsburgh. Her Bachelor of Science was completed at the University of Washington in her hometown, Seattle.

Dr. Lao is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and the California Academy of Audiology.
